Hello and welcome back to the blog. As the winter months are closing in now and there’s a distinct chill in the air…we thought it would be the perfect time to wind back time a little to sunny July when were lucky enough to fly out to Nantes in France to photograph the wedding of Marion and Rakesh.

The wedding showcased a unique blend of styles as the couple were keen for their guests to experience their cultures. So while the setting was that of a French garden party (or fête champêtre) – they sprinkled some Bollywood magic over the proceedings!

Marion’s stunning pastel coloured outfit was made by Pannaz Boutique in Leicester. Rakesh perfectly complimented his bride with a traditional outfit from Venison, London…the bling was provided by his Mum who gave him the beautiful necklace you can see in the photos.

The day was a real family affair, taking place under a marquee in the garden of the mother-of-the bride. Eighty guests were there to witness an intimate Hindu ceremony which took place before a sumptuous three-course meal (French cuisine of course!). The night was rounded off with plenty of dancing to an eclectic mix of music…and finally a brioche being served at midnight when the guests were able to toast the happy newly-weds.

We are pleased to say that the opportunity to get some gorgeous photographs didn’t end there! The day after we were able to get some amazing post wedding photographs of Rakesh and Marion in the heart of Nantes – a truly stunning city for anyone who loves the creative arts. We think the images speak for themselves!

Congratulations to Marion and Rakesh and thank you for allowing us to capture your unique wedding.
