Hi and welcome back to the blog! I just wanted to share some lovely photographs from a wedding we shot at Goodwood House. After forming a great relationship with Kate and Scott during their engagement shoot earlier this year – this was one wedding we knew was going to be a lot of fun! They’d also booked us to produce a cinematography film of their wedding too in order to get total consistency with both photography and video for their wedding.
Goodwood House, in picturesque West Sussex, is a beautiful English country house – home to one of the most significant private art collections in the United Kingdom. Kate and Scott had exclusive hire of the house for their intimate wedding with their nearest and dearest.
Kate had a hand in designing her gorgeous wedding dress and she looked absolutely stunning in it as you can see! Aided of course by Boe from Botias who worked with her to create her fabulous hair and make-up look as well as designing and making a bespoke hair accessory (Botias Accessories) for Kate. Great job Boe! Not to be outdone Scott looked dashing in his stylish suit, mixing traditional and contemporary with effortless ease!
Everything about the wedding was so well thought out and arranged – we particularly liked the flowers they chose to compliment the stunning interiors perfectly.
In keeping with the fun intimate feel of the entire day, the reception was a relaxed affair – canapés and drinks outside in the sunshine before laughter (and a few tears) inside for the all-important speeches.
We’d arranged some time with Kate and Scott for a couples portrait shoot to make the most of the venue, the light – and the happy couple of course!
The evening culminated in a lovely reception under a marquee where the DJ and live band kept everyone entertained (not to mentioned a mixologist, a flower wall and enough sweets & popcorn to keep everyone more than happy!)
It really was a super day and thanks to my team we captured the whole day through a set of stunning images that tell their wedding day through both photography and cinematography. As we like to say – we are the ‘memory keepers’.
