Hi and welcome back to the blog. As you can imagine it’s been super busy as we’re smack-bang in the middle of wedding photography season right now!
There’s a lovely back story to this particular wedding as I met Ali a while ago at a wedding we photographed. He approached me asking for our details – when I asked him when he was getting married he confessed that he hadn’t yet proposed to his girlfriend!
It reinforces our faith that we are great at what we do as Ali decided he wanted us for his wedding based on our personality and how we interacted with the couple and the guests.
Fast forward two years on and we were photographing their engagement shoot at Stratford Olympic Park. As always the engagement shoot gives us the opportunity to get to know the couple and how their relationship works.
We met Karen at Greenwoods Hotel along with her bridesmaids and parents for her getting-ready shots. It was a beautiful start to the day with everyone in a relaxed and happy mood. We had all seasons of weather in one day including a double rainbow!
From there we went to the wedding ceremony and reception venue Crondon Park – a perfect barn wedding location in Essex. Set in the beautiful valley of Crondon with views across the Essex countryside and a championship golf course – it was the perfect setting for Karen and Ali’s wedding.
Ali’s immediate family had travelled all the way from Iran and it was their first experience of a civil service and a western style wedding reception.
We got to spend some time photographing the couple using the venue as a stunning background – and the mixed weather actually helped create some very dramatic portraiture images.
The reception was very relaxed and the father’s speech was a real highlight.
Thank you Karen and Ali for choosing us to photograph your wedding – it was a real honour!
